About Pilot Projects

The Wisconsin Livestock Identification Consortium (WLIC) has approved various pilot projects for producers and industry interested in advancing animal identification efforts in Wisconsin.

WLIC members feel strongly that initiating animal identification pilot projects will help address specific questions producers and industry have in implementing a national animal identification program. Regional and species differences require different approaches. By adhering to national standards, compatibility will be maintained.
